im downloading this.. not a driver. will this program get me the driver or something?
 
just incase it was heat i downloaded core temp. saying im running at 34 degrees, so im running cold... im good with heat...


Also windows is saying this is an option update should i get it?

Im also only running service pack 1.. is that a big deal?

ok i restarted and it has this

Standard VGA Graphics Adapter

Is that right?

Also when i started my computer back up it had uniblue registry editor on it..

nope it doesnt.. and then when i updated it, it displayed the hd radeon 6990 driver. and it started with the black screen thing again.
 
i have a saphiire radeon 2gb 6950 and im running windows 7 64bit.
i have the catalsyt control center installed.
and the driver right now is Standard VGA graphics adapter.

and the computer is running great. but i dont know if its detected my graphics card.. where can i go in the bios to see if its detected?
 
ok ive gone to the individual download section im going to try and download just this

Try running it again and pick the uninstaller. Reboot and install it again. You got both PCIe 6 pin power connectors plugged into the card?
 
yeah they are both connected im going to try this driver. just the display driver then restart.. then if that aint right im gonna turn the pc off and double check wiring and power.. but i can see through my case they are both plugged in.
 
and OMG windows is saying this is an important update.

thats the one that i get and then it messes with my display and screen keeps jumping to black.

why the hell does my computer think i have that card.. i have a 6950!!!! im looking at my box right now! lol
