Ever connected your 42'' plasma to your computer?

Here is my "42HDS69" plasma Hitachi TV. Here how it looks :

Now here is the Digital Audio/Visual HDMI-to-DVI-D Single Link Cable

My video card is : Nvidia 7900 GTX

When I connect everything, how come picture on my TV is blurry. Color is out of place. Everything seems as though moved slightly to the left, and has a reflection to it. I would assume my video card should be more then capable of having my TV as my computer screen. Do I need to download a driver? I have been looking for a driver but I had no luck of finding one. Anyone know?

check the resolution...
 
I have. I set it to 1080i or 780p and I also put proper resolution. Doesn't really matter. It is still blurry. again no matter what resolution I put. anyone had this problem?
 
Perhaps your card is not adequate as you think? I dunno. I have a 42'' LCD hooked up the same way and I've never had a single problem (using 7950 GX2 gpu). I would not use a plasma TV as a monitor anyway. You risk burning images onto your TV. Not worth it to me.
 
The proper resolution for that tv is 1024 x 1080.


What brand of video card. I know it's a 7900 gtx, but who made it? EVGA, Asus?

damn. I have no other choice but to keep trying different possibilities. I am sure my card is capable of doing this job. I am not sure. I believe so. My card is fairly new.

And I have to agree with the statement about using a plasma as a monitor. You will probably ruin it doing that. If you really need to use it as a monitor, make sure you always use a screen saver that has a lot of movement to it. And never let a screen sit idle for more than a couple of minutes.

Checking... I am not sure. I do not have the box or the passport for my card. all I know it is a NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX 512 MB Memory size and DAC Type Integrated RAMDAC

I have not tried to set my tv resolution to 1024 x 1080 though. I am going to try to do this now.

Yes of course. Thank you. I know. Plasma pixels can burn through the screen :rolleyes:
 
I hook up my 37 inch lcd and have amazing picture, 1080i. I also use component out though not the dvi-hdmi cable.
