Failing power supply?

No need to run such high wattage psu unless you are using 3 high end cards in SLI or crossfire. Wasting your money if you aren't even using the psu to 80 percent of its potential. 600 watts should be plenty and you save 100 bucks.

You'll still probably only need a good 750W or maybe 800W PSU but if 900 or 1000 is not much more expensive then take one I guess.

I want an EVGA card with the factory-OC but I don't want to spend THAT much...

There will be companies like Sapphire and MSI and Gigabyte and ASUS who will sell you an overclocked Radeon if you want.

I will probably go with Sapphire because I currently have a Sapphire card installed.

Yeah they're my choice for AMD.

650 watts is all you will need for 2 - 270x's in crossfire. I only buy Sapphire brand now, Asus would be my second choice most likely.

For AMD cards, Sapphire is my first choice. Second is MSI.
