They're visually hideous. Much prettier cards out there. Sapphire cards aren't bad in the way that Zalman coolers are (which perform horribly) but they are ugly.
Agree to disagree I guess. I think they make really good looking coolers, much more subdued and clean than a lot of other stuff on the market lately. They used to just be eh but the past couple gens have stepped it up a lot. They're also considered one of the best coolers available on AMD cards regardless of how they look.

My Sapphire 7970 did look gaudy but my 390 looks clean IMO. What would you rather have?

My Zalman CNPS9900MAX-B has kept my PC around 10C cooler at idle and during use than my old CoolerMaster V6GT ever could.

I've never been a Thermaltake fan but I gotta say their Riing fans are pretty solid.
