Whats overclocking?? I hear or read it alot on this site but i dont know what it is. Can someone explain it to me and possibly tell me how to do it if its a good thing.
So, if a CPU is clocked at 2.4Ghz and you overclock it, it would go beyond that limit, perhaps to 3.0Ghz.
I mean like this example-->
If my CPU is at 1.8GHz... what would be a recommended amount to overclock it up to? idk like 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz, without it causing any damage. And how long should i keep it overclocked?
is that clearererer? haha![]()
as long as it is not constantly running pass 60c you should not have problem.
the only way to keep the overclock is to bios overclock.
1.86 - 3ghz i would say should still be under 60c if you invest in a good aftermarket cooler and some good thermal compound.
if your rig is prebuilt, in most them you can't OC cuz they locked IMO
