flashing a mobo

I don't think it is, No.

Sometimes your MOBO will come with software to do it through Windows but the main method is with a floppy.

You should use BIOS flashing as the extreme last attempt though.

I am able to get hdd, mobo, cd/dvd drive detected but I am not able to reformat or load windows.
I get errors which draws me to the conclusion that the mobo needs a bios upgrade.
Ive set the jumpers each way you can and no dice I always receive errors.
Errors like
file\i386\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded set up cannot continue
and
\winnt\system32\config\systemced could not be loaded set up cannot continue
and
ntdetect failed

As the first error says contains bios in the error this is where I think the bios is the issue.

edit:no floppy drive :/

Are these errors coming up in the first phase on the Windows installation - when it copies the files necessary for the setup.

If so, faulty memory is the most common cause. I'd suggest you try running memtest first.

Ive tested with another stick and same problem :/

Ill run memtest seems like my only option left :(

Why would you want to flash your motherboard with a cd rom? I think you can with a USB drive, you don't HAVE to use a floppy.

But thanks

Ive still have not figured out my issue sometimes I get those errors in the top sometimes I get ntdetect sometimes i/o 000000800sometimes I get windows loading and then copying files but then it stops then again i/o 00000800
this is getting really frustrating... :/
Any input would be appreciated

I knew I was stupid but not this much... XD

Umm how about installing windows on another system and then try to load it into that one? If you keep getting those error then your I/O interface might be stuffed.

What can I do?
Is there any programs that I can boot to and make a diagnose at what may be the issue?
