Here it is at Majorgeeks too (you know a malware removal forum) http://majorgeeks.com/RemoveWGA_d5170.htmlMicrosoft Genuine Advantage is a pirates worst nightmare.
You are obviously an advocate.
The "hack" you linked to remove the tool is not from Microsoft.
Also, the second link, the one from Microsoft, is over a year old and is referring to a version distributed during the pilot program.
But seriously Google:RemoveWGA, you will see that its quite legal, and better to remove, personally I don't like spyware or not required startups.
This all must be new to you
Yes do all updates, but because many haven't (as shown in many users logs), if they install this program they will likely go over their monthly usage, and they should have high speed Internet. Obviously dial-up members, or members with low monthly allocation of Megs, should not download this MSE package. Thank god I informed themUpdates are essential for the security of your operating system. Why do it manually?.
I don't want any of my information, not related to having an Antivirus installed, being given out.Completely paranoid. What information do you think they are getting?]
Why should I, when free Avira (and absolutely all other Antiviruses) don't require this invasion of privacy
The decision is entirely yours of course
I decided to say NO to MSE, and my system runs perfectly with free Avira (note: users can Google to remove the splash screens in Avira too)
