From HP to Custom

I currently have an HP Pavilion Elite m9340f. The mobo is here. The mobo is a micro ATX configuration from looking at the mobo specifics.

My plans were to buy a case, psu, and a 4850. I would be re-using the ram, mobo, cpu, hdd. The reason why I can't do this in the HP case is because it will most likely run hot. I looked on Newegg and didn't find a tower that seems big enough that is compatible with MicroATX.

So my questions is what options are available and do you think it is worth it to do the case swap/upgrade.

My specs are as follows:

Intel Q6700 @2.66
6 gig DDR2 800mhz
750 gig sata 7200rpm hdd (Seagate)
Mobo as described above
Nvidia 9500GS

There are micro ATX cases that have decent cooling but I woud be concerned about fitting the 4850 into the smaller case.

Another question is that if I due the swap will the mobo interfere? It won't act like a hp propriety thing and bottleneck my new configuration?

Well it probably would be just better to buy a better motherboard, because you already have the CPU and RAM you could always just buy a full one, and then get a mid-tower case. This would ensure you have good heat dissipation, and that you have enough space for the HD 4850.

Yeah I might hold off on this for now. It will most likely cause me problems because it is a pre-built and the mobo is not too great. I'm probably better off saving money for a whole new build (saving the CPU and such however) down the road.

Not sure what you are talking about the case...
Most cases could accommodate m-ATX motherboard...
what is your budget of case + PSU?

It was gonna be about $300 for a PSU, case, and GPU. But I might save the money instead.
