Hi!!! I am planning on building a new pc. I have been posting on forums to try and get the help that I need, but I always find a reason to post another thread for some help. I am posting to ask for your help, your opinion. Each of the components that I feel is good for my build, there is always someone who gives a better suggestion as to what to include in my new build. I would like for you to give your opinion as to what component you feel is needed. I will list a component and a concern that I feel is necessary in order for this build to have no down sides and to work correctly and perform greatly. Keep in mind I plan on having a theme for my build...either Red or Blue...Which one do you prefer? Also, I plan for my build to be around $1000. Here are the components in which I feel I would like to include in my build (Give your opinion as to what component you feel is better and why, please )
CPU:
Intel Core i5-4690K: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i54690k
I feel as if this processor is just alittle bit overpriced, but given that you can overclock, I guess it COULD be worth it in the end.
Motherboard:
#1 - ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer ATX LGA1150: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-fatal1tyz97killer
#2 - ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z97extreme4
Memory:
#1 - Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmy8gx3m2a1600c9r
#2 - Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmy8gx3m2a1600c9b
I plan to have my PC Build color themed....either Blue or Red. Which do you think would fit better in this situation?
Storage:
I am having a hard time choosing between Western Digital and Seagate.... Which do you feel is better in my situation?
#1 - Seagate Constellation ES.3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st1000nm0053
#2 - Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st1000dm003
GPU:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn970g1gaming4gd
I feel confident with this card, but I am concerned about anything bottlenecking...will this Build bottleneck in any way?
Case:
#1 - Corsair 450D ATX Mid Tower: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-cc9011049ww
#2 - Phanteks Enthoo Luxe ATX Full Tower: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-phes614lbk
I seem to not be abke to choosse between these two cases. I am concerned with all of each of these cases' features. Which do you think would be suitable with this build?
PSU:
EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120g10750xr
I am concerned with the company EVGA's PSU's. I don't have much experience with PSU's, and I would like your opinion on this as well.
Optical Drive:
Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-optical-drive-drw24b1stblkbas
Nothing special here, just an Optical Drive that I can install my OS on and maybe pop in a few DVD's here and there.
OS:
Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit): http://pcpartpicker.com/part/microsoft-os-885370635690
I plan on getting Windows 8.1. Is this what I need?
P.S.-----> Thank you SOOO much for your consideration and time, I hope you can help me and have a nice day!!! :good:
