Gaming pc is this worth the price?

Correcting my last ignorant statement but an ebay seller i dont want a used computer and i cant buy the computer till october im just looking around so i dont get a bad computer

Can u please help me find a foundation for the kinda comp im looking for its all in the original post i wanna be able to play sc2 on ultra along with future games coming out such as shogun 2 total war and alot of rts games and paradox games on high settings
 
The seller I referred you to on E-bay has over 14,000 positive ratings from buyers. I would trust them. I am taking your budget is $1,000 correct?

This is not a complete system. Some parts such as (hard drive, video card, memory, etc.) need to be added

I don't like that guy's layout. Doesn't list the brand of GPU or RAM, doesn't list the exact hard drive model, has crappy parts by default...

To make it a proper gaming machine, you'll want to add an OS, fix the PSU, and get a proper video card...the default 4350 is barely more powerful than onboard graphics. Adding those plus a 5770(which is still underpowered for that CPU) takes you to about $1200, and you're still stuck with a mATX motherboard and case. Maybe if that was an i5 or AMD rig, it'd be doable, but buying an i7 rig through him ain't gonna cut it.


TS, are you averse to building the rig yourself? We can help....it's really not hard. Like putting legos together.
 
+1 for the ebay seller. By default, the iBuyPower PC comes with an i5-655K, which is designed for OC'ing, but by default they only include a stock HSF. "custom" PC websites like ibuypower/cyberpower ect. are often overpriced, and make poorly balanced PC to "configure", or don't give enough options.

Honestly, I think iBuyPower's prices are a bit better. Not saying that's a bad seller or anything, but it shouldn't cost nearly $1k with no OS, nearly no GPU, and various crappy parts...

Then building yourself is best, if you are willing.

thats what i was thinking im barely pushing 1k for the computer but i cant even make the ebay one full complete without going to 1375$ or somthing i wanna get the best for my money both seem to have there pros and cons but ibuypower there full computer and i know that computer cn run stuff pretty well but the other computer just not sure.


And to building my own computer parents dont reall want me to and i dont wanna risk with an expensive pc so im just gonna buy it pre made and hopefully be able to build a computer myself one day
 
What I would suggest doing, then, is getting an AMD-based rig with a Phenom II x4 of some sort...possibly an x6 (6 core) if it fits in the budget. The overall price will be quite a bit lower than an i7 rig, allowing for a good video card and a more balanced machine.
