Gaming pc is this worth the price?

Ok honestly i really appreciate you guys for all the help im intrested in computers and wanna major in buisness and economics so maybe in the future i can combine them but anyways on topic does the case have to be compatible with the motherboard
 
most motherboards will fit into most cases. if you get a standard medium case or a large one, atx and mini/micro atx motherboards should all fit. the only problem would be something like an extended-atx board in a medium case.

don't skip on the power supply. what gpu do you plan on getting?

what is your overall budget? what do you plan on doing with the build? what settings for games (if applicable)?
 
What u mean by skipping on the power supply and i jsust realized i forgot a gpu but im thinking an nvidia gtx 460 and i plan on playing games on ultra such as sc2 and alot of rts games lke the total war series and paradox games so i want it powerful enough to run the new direct 11 games and last 4 years atleast with upgradiblity also the budget is 1050$ cheaper is always better haha also just remembered how much is ur build and can it be used for gaming?

here is where the decision on amd vs intel and ati vs nvidia gets tough. if you go with amd, the motherboard won't let you do sli down the road. if you want an sli setup, you pretty much have to go with an intel setup (the nvidia chipsets for amd motherboards are pretty bad). however, that board will let you do crossfire, meaning you can either go with an intel setup and the 460, or go with an amd setup with an ati card.

a power supply is one of the most important parts in the pc. if you get a poor quality one, it can fail and take other components with it.

AMD is really the best option at this point...Intel is killing their current sockets very soon anyway.

i didnt know it was a laptop hard drive but it just bumped me up to 1030 haha so getting close but i cant wait to order the parts in october i and to have the accomplishment of building it

Samsung drives are pretty reliable, but they are faster than their WD or Seagate counterparts, they are some of the fastest hard drives on the market now, and to make it even sweeter, they are usually cheaper than their competators too
