Nothing on Bios

There is nothing on my Bios that says anything about the clockspeed or settings for my video card. I tried to put the AA settings to off. There is a setting that is like "Forced Mipmaps" and there is "Off" "billinar" and "trillinar". I think that I spelt those wrong, but I think that you know what I mean. But I did try to lower the settings and that didnt help any. I think that the card just sucks. D= But I don't know. I don't know much about Video Cards. But I'm beginning to think that my card sucks. Reason being is because it lags. :(

That's because you wont find it in your bios. You need to use coolbits or coolbits2 to open those options up in the Nvidia control panel. Google for it.

Its not supposed to be there. The only thing BIOS will have is AGP voltages, AGP clock, clock locks etc, fast-modes etc

Hrm.... It WAS 270/280 I think. Then BFG OC'ed it to 290/400. Now, its 310/400, and it's not stuttering that much at all. Thanks guys for all of your help. Oh, I created a new partition and I installed all of the drivers, and it stuttered. So yeah, but now it's doing pretty well. Thanks to everyone who helped me. =D!

Interesting that the clock speed made such a difference ... very odd (especially considering i can play it with this Ti4600 with everything to max without a problem). Oh well, glad you got it working :)

LoL. No, it doesnt require power. Like.. it doesnt have anything hooked up to it besides the agp slot. I have installed everything else. Service Pack 2 comes with the latest Direct X drivers. I have sound. =L All the video drivers are installed. I have a 250W power supply. I tried ubplugging my CD-rom and dvd-rw from the power and it lagged the same. But yeah, I dunno. I'm so confused. The guys at the store and at Nvidia said that it shouldnt lag at all. The card doesnt lag AT ALL playing Unreal Tourtament 2004.
I know its not the prob but man you need to upgrade that PSupply.

Well, Nvidia overclocked it to 290MHz and I believe that the regular FX5500 is 270MHz.
Hard to say... depends on the end company

Do you mean freezing then restarting? ie stuttering? Rather than freezing full stop?
Wouldnt 'restart' mean ... restart?

I have installed everything else. Service Pack 2 comes with the latest Direct X drivers.
1. DirectX is a bunch of APIs not drivers
2. DirectX has nothing to do with chipset drivers

But yeah, I dunno. I'm so confused. The guys at the store and at Nvidia said that it shouldnt lag at all. The card doesnt lag AT ALL playing Unreal Tourtament 2004.
What driver rev are you using?

Um just a quick noobie question here whats a defrag?
Defrag is a utility or function that takes file fragments on your HDD and puts them back together. Use the SEARCH function and you can find out anything.

sometimes with certain programs ie. quicktime, theyll start up in teh backround and to keep em fro,m startin up got to ur command prompt and type in msconfig and go to the start up tab and stop programs that u dont really need to start up. and wut cpu usage is ur computer while playin those games if at around liek 95+ (which i highly doubt cuz my dads comp has a 3200 and it never gets close to like 80), but if it does it prob just overheating and ull prob just need to get a better cooling system and i play halo with my comp on full and i see no prob so its prob got to be that OC'd vid card o

o ya and for noobies ? just go to to my computer and right click on ur HDD and go to properties and look around its the tools tab the 2nd button i do believe
