Getting IP from MSN

I believe it's impossible to do - at least without doing something complex, hack-related (which is forbidden in this forum), and doing a lot of pinging.

All communications through Messenger are directed through MSN's servers, which "hide" the source of the communication.

What I really want to know is what kind of "personal reasons" would nessecitate tracking someone's IP without asking them. It doesn't sound very legit to me.

There is indeed a very easy way to get peoples IP from MSN, although I wont post it here since the general consensus on here seems to be against it. Pluss I agree, he doesnt seem to have, and im not sure there ever is, a good reason to deceptively obtian peoples IP's. All admins and mods on this forum see our IP's when they view who is online and also from there CP but that is for a good reason.

I have a dynamic IP so that wont work. Also Im behind a router, woo. I've wanted to know for ages, you will have no doubt found the netstat way, if not here is is:
1) send them a large file
2) run dos
3) type netstat -n
4) look for the port thats the msn port I think its 1856
ignore that tutorial its shit, as all msn communications go through a central server. I got a better way, but unless you know php your not going to be able to use it.
