1- Similar performance
2- Crossfire support

In my opinion i gravitate towards the option Calin gave me which was buying a new MOBO, GPU and CPU.

I have always liked the idea of the RX480 as it is a cheap card that is VR Ready in which i plan to venture into that area when the budget and time are correct.

That is one thing i am worried about, but as far as i can remember AMD had a forefront about how the card was VR-Ready.

It meets the minimum performance requirements for VR but a more powerful card would give a better experience across a range of titles.

Just read reviews, comments from owners, etc. That's pretty much the only way to decide if something is right for you.
