PPL (pixel pipelines), dont have anything to do with the amount of video memory.

Simply put, if your buying a low-end card, you wont benefit from having a 256MB card.

ok everyone is talking really old stuff. if you want generally cheap but still powerful then get an x800 or a x850. they own the cards like the 9600

Well i paid £50 brand new for mine,However mine is made by Club....But the same card i think,So i wouldnt realy spend over that for it.

I dont know much £50 converted into USD is...ant be bothred looking

Thats very high, seeing as how you can buy an x800 series card for like $100-$120.

I wouldnt pay more then $50 for the 9600PRO.

I was dealing with RAMBUS memory issues but when I was too low on memory, it barely let me run on the lowest settings. I read you should have at least over 700 and 1G to be safe.
