A Google OS by 2010 wouldn't be any big surprize according to the article seen at http://www.osnews.com/story.php/10096/A-Google-OS-by-2010/ I couldn't help but notice the ad for Solaris 10 seen there as well since I am still deciding where and which drive here that will go onto.
It's called GooOs.
Well, it'll be nice to have a new operating system to compete with MS Windows.
Here's an OS that's free and is opposed to run Windows programs:http://www.reactos.org/en/index.html
I tried running it in Virtual Machine to check it out, but it didn't go so well. Probably because it's not the final product yet still in beta form.

You may have something there since one 2004 article points to that name over simply referring to a proposed Google OS. http://www.kottke.org/04/04/google-operating-system
Have you heard about the Google Cube as well as the GooOS? http://gadgets.fosfor.se/the-google-cube/
