got a new case

it should give some extra fps on games that are supported. i haven't actually had any time to play games, although i do have ghost recon which is supported. i don't really play games on my 32bit os. so i'm waiting for the 64bit drivers to come out before i really get into it. i just figured when i was buying a case wtf i might as well get a card too, they had a don't pay f0r 6 months deal, by then the drivers should be out lol.

very nice case how much did it cost and how is that phisx card anyways ive herd alot of bad things about them and not shure if i shoudl purchase one

cost 200 and something, and the card i haven't had a chance to check it out, see above^^^^^post.
i wouldn't have bought it if i didn't have to pay for it for 6 months.

the physix cards will not give you any more fps in games, nor are they meant to, its just to take the physixs load of the gpu, but it isn't meant to increase fps.

i guess it lied on the box then
Stupid false advertising, I mean that is what I though at first, you know it takes the load off of the gpu gives it time to process a few more fps, but I have gotten into long discussions about this before, and your fps may bump up but thats not the physix cards doing, it may be as a result of it taking the load off of the gpu, but the physix card isn't really capable of processing a frame so it cant improve it in that sense. Anyway tell us how you like it when you use it, be interested to see how they work.

makes sense, thanks for the explanation. when i get a chance to load ghost recon into my 32bit os and play it i'll post what i think.
i figure the physics card has yet to reach its potential untill more games support it. but hey if it takes a load off my gpu's all the better.

installed a new uv cathode set and some more cable sleeving, this time i added some yellow uv sleeves. kinda messes with my blue theme i had going on, but i needed a change and i'm planning on adding yellow or green fluid to my wc.

lol heres a question for tommycompton

|How much did you pay for it,

take a vidio clip of you smashing you old case with a hammer. lol

the case cost was not too much, the whole system....... thats another story.
i already trasnsplanted my 3400+ (a compaq) into my old case. the old compaq case is already in the dumpster. i could probably fit three compaq cases into my new case.

haha tell me about it, you dont have it that bad. the week i bought my computer, intel came out with pentium d the next week, the week i decided to upgrade it a bit i bought the gpu and case, next week out came a nicer case than mine and price cuts on the video card.

do you put that 2 fan thing on in addition to the gpu's heatsink/fan already, for like super coolage?

I want to do that
