Got a PS3 today....

O, it's big enough, lol. My dad bought it. It's funny how he is. He never buys anything and one day he goes out and buys a new tv and surround sound along with a ps3. I am no complaining though :P

Wow lucky. I wouldn't complain either. Ask him if he could buy me that tv and a playstation 3.

sweet!

is haze really like a halo clone so they say? looks cool though.

It's kinda like halo, but not really. You don't have a health bar in the latter part of the game. It's kinda like the shield thing in halo; you can only take so much damage in a certain amount of time. Other then that not really. It's one of those games where you run around shooting everything that moves, lol. Lots of fun. The character's sayings are hilarious, but they don't have too many of them so it gets repetitive fast. Kinda sucks though that that game only supports 720p. I mean that graphics arent too bad, but with higher resolution it would look much better. I am sure if you had a 50" tv it will look fine though.

720p on a 50" fine? O.o how can you put your standards that low?! :O I play 1080i on a 42" and it looks not really great imo. =o

I know that with the PS3 you need a spiffy little HDMI cable to get 1080i on such supportable games.

I wonder if you can use an HDMI cable.... or does it have to be a PS3 HDMI Cable?

Except when the HDMI cable has a PS3 proprietary bit on one end. But this isn't the case (said after giving it a google), sony uses a standard HDMI output port/cable.

Edit: jinkies!

Thanks once again.

Since I'm a dumb ass (haha). HDMI cables are Audio and Video... or just Video?
... I think I just answered that question for myself by thinking of the AV Cables (red, yellow, white) and what is replacing them.

That's because 1080i sucks. What you want is 1080p. Or even 720p over 1080i.

I have full 1080p on my 32" Sony Bravia, it rocks :)
