So roughly 3months ago i bought brand new computer with a GTX285 OCX.
After a couple months i started noticing artifacts as i moved up to more resource requiring games. I ran tests and even took it into memory express and for sure it was a video memory issue.
So i called up BFG and got an RMA made up, i sent it in and got it back roughly 2weeks ago. Over the past couple of weeks I have been getting black screens while playing games, I'm forced to restart my computer. I ran more tests and with Video Memory Stress Test I get this error.
Error at [3EC05490]: must be FFFF, but found 7FFF (bits: 1000000000000000)
I goes on forever....repeating the same message 1000s of times. The only difference each time is the "Error at [3EC05490]" the numbers change continuously, but the same error is occurring. Is this once again bad memory?
Another strange thing...is the card i got back... was an OC version, and the card had scratches on the stickers. It seems as if they just declocked it and sent it back, even though it was not the issue...
Anyone have ideas on this??
