I am strongly debating, whether or not, I want to get this card. Right now I have a 890FX MB, and I have no idea what MB I will be buying in the future. I don't know if I will end up going AM3+ or LGA1155, 16x/8x/4x, or what-not. However, I would have to use the SLI patch in Windows to have the SLI work. How well does that work? I hope someone has experience with this card on this forum!
What I do know about this card is that it can outperform a GTX 580 in a lot of games. It sucks a lot of juice, but I need to use the power from my PSU, because I ended up going overkill with the PSU
. I thought I knew better, haha. Thing is, I heard that SLI isn't optimized for some games, but what exactly is not "optimized"?
What possible issues could you run into with this card? I read that some programs and games will not recognize the SLI setup, and in return, only one GPU is used on the card. However, I think that would be a driver issue.
Any help will be appreciated!
Edit: And what is different between the two cards!? Is it the return policy?:
