Hd2900xt 1gb !!

I forgot where the review was seen. But it didn't look like any article from a Chinese but regular online magazine. This was seen in like late february to early May in that time frame. The page seen here certainly isn't from China with several paragraphs placing the X2900 on top over the 8800GTS card. http://www.engadget.com/tag/r600

The Inquirer certainly isn't. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=32387

The May 25th article by XBit even denounces NVidia a little with the comment of them using hybrids? http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/display/20060525104243.html

None of the links here match the original article that referred to the X2000 not X2900. The model number being changed would be no surprise when looking at X1900 to X2900. They simply jump 1000 to see the next card probably being an X2950 in progression to the X1950 series.

One of the main reasons for seeing that large of supply recommended has more to do with the power connectors a larger model supply will have. The card won't be drawing anywhere near the actual output of a supply that size.

Don't you know they always oc one card to give it a better review when comparing it to others. "Hey do us a favor and .... to make our card look ..."
