Help! memory problem!!!

I am using an acer EM61/SM motherboard with nvidia 6100V chipset. my processor is AMD athlon 64X2 at 2.2 GHz and I have 4X1 GB DDR2-800 memory sticks installed but they are only running at 400 MHz. I checked under PC wizard, it shows that the chipset memory type is DDR2-400....does that mean the best memory this motherboard will support is DDR2 400 or it can be reset to DDR2-800? It also shows that the DRAM/FSB ratio is CPU/11...Thanks

it had 1GB of PC2-5300 installed originally, but it was running at 400 MHZ as well.....no memory ever passed the speed of PC2-3200....

Is you ram speed set to Auto or manual in the bios, in manual some have it as 400,533,677 or 800 some have it listed as 200,266,333 or 400. But it needs to be set at 400 or 800 depending on the way its listed.

I have checked BIOS but I don't see such option that I can set RAM speed. I am using a ACER EM61SM/EM61PM motherboard with Phoenis BIOS, CPU-Z said that the FSB/DRAM rate is CPU/11=200....how am i suppose to change the divisor? Thanks

There should be a setting for your ram speed, since its a Acer I dont think there will be any settings for timimg or voltage. Are you sure the board will run DDR2 800

Hi, i have used the CPU-Z, here is the reading:
CPU
Core Speed: 2200mhz
Multiplier: X11
Bus Speed: 200.9 mhz
HT link: 1004.5
Memory
Frequency: 200.9 mhz
FSB:DRAM: CPU/11

I have pluged in my PC2-5300 memory and tested it, all the readings are the same, still running at 200X2 =400 MHZ,which is the speed for PC2-3200.... i think the FSB:DRAM ratio is the problem, why is that at eleven? is there a way to reset it ? Well, if my board doesn't support 6400 at 800, at least it should support 5300 and reach 667 though. why is it only supporting 3200 at 400...

The 11 is your Processor X, 200 X 11= 2200mhz or 2.2ghz. It sounds like your ran speed is set to manual at 400mhz instead of Auto or 800mhz. Since your processor runs on a odd number X your DDR2 800 should be running about 750mhz. or so to say 375mhz. Do you see a CPU/Memory Divider in the bios

yeah, that is the problem, my BIOs looks pretty " simple", the only place I can see RAM status is the size of of and there is no option to select...just a deadly number being displayed...i also looked in standar CMOS seeting and advanced BIOS setting...no such options....
