Help on fixing my computer, monitor screen is blank

Help on fixing my computer

When i start my computer, the computer sounds like its turning on. The power button lights is on. The monitor just goes blank..
Ive tried changing power supply and i bought a new motherboard but its still the same. And its not on my hard drive coz even when i disconnect my hard drive the computer screen is still blank. the light just beeps.
What do you think is the problem?
 
Most likely the Graphics card is shot. Although i thought i had a dead video card today but when i took the power out of the monitor and plugged it back in (pretty much a hard reset of the monitor) the monitor came on and worked.
 
Did this happen all of a sudden, or is it a new build? Open up the case and turn the PC while looking inside. See if your GPU fan starts spinning. If it doesn't try re-seating it. If it does, see you can get a different monitor to try.
 
no grapics card. just a motherboard..
when i turn it on the fan is on.. but the screen is blank
also when i press the caps on the keyboard it doesnt response..
what do you think?
its a new monitor too, new motherboard. its not a new build
 
Try the monitor with a different computer, or a different monitor with the computer.

Post your entire specs so we can see if you didn't mix up parts and they are compatible.
 
i think its not mix up coz yesterday when i turn it on it does work.
then at about 10 mins i can hear the sound slowing down and then it stops working.
 
i tried putting another hard drive and it works. most of my files that i have been working on was on that hard drive. how can make it work?
 
If it works with another HDD, plug that up as your primary, and through the first one on as a secondary. When you get into windows (or use a linux live cd) attempt to get your files off.
 
ive tried that already but it still cant be detected..
I going to the bios system but the hard disk is not detected..
any other way i can recover the file? i have not back up of this and all my work is on that drive
 
i open my cpu and turn it on for a while
then i touch the hdd its cool. theres no heat on it which means its not working.. It cant be detected in bios.
my question is how can i make it work
