DiViDe said:Is coreroe like duelcore or something? Dont intel have a duelcore processor already? And what socket would coreroe be?
monkeysims said:Conroe is a dual-core CPU. The Pentium D is also a dual-core CPU. Conroe will be in the LGA-775 Socket, as newer Pentium 4's and Pentium D's are.
No, they are not. Only newer mobo's which support lower voltages will be compatible with the conroe.dark_legacy2006 said:lga775 socket thats what my new ASUS motherboard has..... are they compatible
DiViDe said:So for a gaming computer would you suggest intel or amd? and if I get intel what would be the best mobo?
From what I have read conroes oc amazingly. In some reviews that have been done people have gotten up to a 50% overclock, and they didn't push it as far as it could go. Now that won't be the case for everyone but, I like amd better then intel, but I am even thinking about switching to conroe, because there is nothing from any other company that comes close to conroes performance.DiViDe said:What about oc'ing a Conroe? Would you guys recommend it? If I do oc it then what cooling system do I go with? And what video card would get with that mobo?
