ok here we go lol. I got my bros old HDD which i would like to use instead of my current HDD so i put my XP cd in and pressed a key to boot windows setup. I went to setup and it said something like "cannot see windows on hdd or something, please make sure you have a copy of windows etc and insert cd and press enter" but i have ,my legit copy of XP in there and i cant get no further keeps saying this.
So i slaved it up with my current HDD to find it would allow me to format and install XP on it, which i did, and it was unstable wouldnt boot up etc, so i decided in the end to go back to my original HDD. But now at bootup it says please select a OS to boot up and showing 2 options both being WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION, i only have 1 hdd connected, and it thinks or something that i have 2 and asking which one to load and more annoying my HDD i use is option 2 so i must be present at boot up to select. So a couple questions if any1 can help
1. how do i get around it saying please insert a following windows CD
2. How do i get rid of it asking to select from 2 operating systems?
