How to copy dvd to harddrive

DaemonTools doesnt let you copy dvds.... you can mount images (DVD or otherwise) with it :)

You can use DVD decryptor which will delete all encryption on DVD. This automatically copies it to your HDD, and from there you can use DVD Shrink or Nero to burn onto a DVD-R. If you have a dual layer Burner then DVD Shrink is not needed.

Two ways to copy a DVD to your hard drive:

Use DVD Shrink to burn an image of the disc to your hard drive.

Use DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter to rip the VOB files out of the disc, store them in a folder, then use Windows media player to open them up for viewing.

To do that, select all the VOB files in the folder, right click and go to "opens with"
Use windows media player
Enjoy the show.

What ever you do ... you will need a player. WMP will not play w/o a dvd player program.

Also, how long do you tend to keep these ripped movies? Most uncompressed movies will take up 6-8GBs, and if you do compress w/ Shrink it will take up 4.35GB for each movie. You run out of HD space fast.
