How to put the Cpu Fan properly?

On cases ordered with supplies included unless you know a good brand is in there they are usually the generic crap that nobody wants. When those go you simply toss them where they came from.... the recycle bin! :P

well i will just send it to them. Before when i was chosing my components i wanted to the pc&power brand. But they are very expensive but also i head very good. But o well.

Antec carries a 5yr. product warranty on their brand. I generally keep a spare supply hanging around regardless of brand in case one does decide to "take a walk". I still have one 300w, a 350w, and a 430w supply in a closet with a 550w still in the box waiting to upgrade the present case or to use in a new build sometime. The current case will be set aside as a spare case sooner or later.

ooooo nice

Thats even better.BUt antec is a very known brand and good one also so why did my power supply brake without any serious reason.I just changed the stuped cpu fan and that is it.I still cant understand that what acually hapend in my computer.

It was one of those few rejects apparently that got out. You can run into a bad one on occasion no matter what brand it is. If you were running the system when you pulled the hsf off like someone suggested earlier and touch something to see a direct short your board would have smoked like a fuse.

You will probably find that it was simply a weak cap or something like that. The one time I ordered a case with a supply the system failed to do anything one day until the supply was swapped out. But that was a cheapie generic at the time. The Antec 350w model that replaced still sits around here without a case to go in just like the 300w before it and the 430w to follow.

ok and one more thing when i was taking my power supply out i had to take the motherboard out and it was very hard because my case is small sometimes i got it to touch the metall and strach the bottom part but just a little bit and when i was taking my powr supply it was resting on my case not on any cart board.Do you think i did anything wrong? It was really hard to take it so i used a little force do you think something could have been broken?

I've yanked supplies out at times and never saw any problems when putting them in another case. You simply got a bad supply where something let go on you. If you had it plugged in with the power on and touched something on the board that would have been the thing seeing damage if any. That would simply be due to grounding something out there. That warranty by the way is a limited version where you may see charges for replacement parts only.

I am sorry but I don't understand what exactly you are saying. Are you telling us that you grounded out your motherboard when you touched it and what to do now?

I have never grounded anything out. What I am trying to expalin here is that if you move a supply out of it's mounting position and touch something on the board while the system is on that's a disaster in the making there. A supply is a heavily shield item with a solid ground. You touch something like a positive lead on the board that's when something on the board goes zap! poof!...

One thing you want to do when pulling a supply out while the board and other hardwares are still installed is to have firm grip on it due to the added weight of the transformer. Even without power you can easily damage something if you drop it. I usually have the case upright in case one does slip. That way it will most likely put a small dent in the bottom of the case rather then a hole in the board. (boom! crunch! awwww crap gee wiz .... my board! my board is... )
