i have a problem....my hp laptop is telling me when i go to volume controll that there are no active mixer devices avalible. what should i do????? all help much apreciated thanks
hp pavilion dv4000 and in the devise manager there is 8 yellow question marks, ome of them being next 2 multimedia audio controller!!!!! and a few more being, network controller, pci modem... any clues????
That laptop model need more information. however you can check to see if yours is here. Click on drivers and enter your model number to see if you can find sound drivers.
all i have on the laptop is a silver sticker on the back with the product number..another sticker with s/n and p/n all of these have numbers and letters.or would this make any sense??/ EN427EA#ABU

Now for the video and wireless drivers. They list more than one driver for each so what I need you to do is to install the above drivers and let me know what is left that still needs a driver. Then on the remaining devices, I need you to go back into device manager and right click on each item that needs a driver and right click on it, then click on properties, then click on the details tab and give me the 4 digit vendor and device Id numbers. They look like this.
i have managed 2 sort the problem, by going 2 hp.com typing in my pn number and the country i am at and it downloaded the drive programes, after repooing it it now has sound ... so thank u all for the help
