I'm currently looking at two processors: The i5-3570k, and the i7-3770k. From what I can understand, the two processors are almost exactly identical, except for one tidbit: Hyperthreading. What is the added benefit of this feature? Is it worth the extra hundred dollars?
Intended uses:
I keep a LOT of programs open at once. I rarely close things.
The lastest games, at the highest settings.
Computer programming. A lot of it.
Burning and ripping CDs to lossless formats, using multiple cores
Multimedia creation software, such as Photoshop and Flash.
Overclocking.
