1GB PC3200 DDR HYNIX RAM pc memory sdram 1 gb

Up for auction is one stick of ddr 3200 ram. 400 mhz non-ecc. manufacturer is hynix (used in alot of pavilion HP computers). model # on the chips is hynix 506a hy5du12822bt-d43

and what brand of ram is good?
is this ram good for my computer?

and is a AMD processor faster or a INTEL processor faster?
for now the latest technology

AMD FX vs INTEL dual core 2

second ram is this good???????????????
184 pin Dimm (for desktop PCs, not for laptops) modules - 128x64

Less than 5 nanosecond

Backward compatible Works with PC3200 & PC2700 & PC2100

UNBUFFERED - NON ECC

6 LAYERS MODULE

128x4 Density chips

Certified Memory :
Certified for Optimum performance and Stability with New generation of AMD/Intel Processor Based Motherboards.

Guaranteed to work with Compatible Chipsets - List provided Below

DDR DIMMs that are fully compliant with the newly released JEDEC specification and reference design.

We test our memory for compatibility with all major system platforms.

Our certified memory is fully compliant with motherboards from all the industry leaders with DDR Industry standard.

Careful memory qualification done to help eliminate the uncertainty of the interactions between different components in a given computer system.

We have implemented a qualification procedure that is among the most stringent in the industry.

While such a strong qualification procedure cannot eliminate risk entirely, it offers the parts which are as robust as possible.

Return rates of less then 1% on Certified Modules makes this choice absolute.

Data Bus 64 Bits
Data Rate 200/266/333/400 Mbps
Bus Frequency 100/133/166/200 MHz
DRAM Frequency 100/133/166/200 MHz
Package Type TSOP-II
Densities 1GB
Voltage 2.5V

The ram is not a good quality ram. How much is it? And to answer your processor question, it depends which Intel CPU and which AMD cpu.

The specifications seen on that model Sony desktop show "2 GB (max) DDR SDRAM - 400 MHz - PC3200". Knowing if that is a different brand and quality of DDR400 memory then the Sony will run is a different matter.

The newest Intel core duo is said to outperform the AMD competitor. That does remain to be seen. AMD's lower cpu speeds often can fool you when an AMD model outperforms a faster Intel cpu.

Well you can at least see that Intel has caught up ;)

Intel's newer CPUs match if not beat AMDs CPU's clock-for-clock.

What does "that" Sony desktop have anything to do with this...

@ junwang0808,
Do you have a link to that RAM? Whats your budget? Are you upgrading? If so what's the rest of the systems specs?

AMD is a gaming processor....its very good for games..intel isn't quite as good for games but excels in everything else...if you don't play many games and do alot of multitasking thats where you want an intel processor

I do far more then game with the AMD64 3500+ cpu here. AMDs run cooler then P4s right off of the top while any cpu still sees heat and needs cooling. They always ran circles around higher model Intels while Intel is now starting to smarten up with the Core 2 duo models. But I made the transition to AMD from Intel some years back and that's where I plan to stay.
