Alrighty, bed time for me, but it wouldn't be the same without yet another question: I finally finished everything tonight, plugged it all in and turned on the PC.
Well, it went past the POST screen so fast I couldn't press DELETE to get into the BIOS! Maybe I need to be quicker?
Furthermore, there were no beeps at all. Not a single beep to say it's okay, or any error beeps either. Could something be wrong?
Finally, where it all ended was an error about loading a boot disk and pressing ENTER to try again. I figure this message is normal, but when I pressed ENTER to see what would happen, nothing did. Could this mean my keyboard doesn't work yet?
Thoughts on all this? Not sure what to do at this point. I'd feel more comfortable hearing that single beep.
Night night!
EDIT: In case this helps, I connected the "HD" cable from my case to my motherboard. There is a connector on the motherboard for "Speaker", but my case doesn't seem to have a "Speaker" cable. Does this matter, or should the sound come from the motherboard itself? Should I use the "AC 97" cable instead?
