okay so i think i fixed the problem i wasnt saving it right my fault, but which video do you think i would need or it just doesnt matter which i use?

hey john i just wanted to say thanks so much for all your help if it wasnt for you i would have never fixed my computer lol, as of now it is working like a charm and the first thing i did was install an antivirus program, i went with trend micro cause thats why my girlfriend has and she never has a problem

but i also have a 160gb hp personal media external hard drive, i plug it in and you know how on your tool bar in the bottom right corner it sometimes installs and updates things for you when you plug it in? well when i plug it in it says it installs it and is ready to use but when i click on my computer the hard drive isnt there...is this an easy fix?

Right click on "my computer" click on manage, click on disk management on the left and wait for the screen on the right to populate. Locate your external and most likely you just need to assign it a drive letter.
