My parents took away counter-strike source!! :eek: What am i supposed to do now???!?! Maybe it's a good thin, idk. "There's too much blood, etc" At least i can still play half-life 2, and it sounds excellent w/ my new Logitech x-530 5.1 speakers ;)
 
did they uninstall it completely, cos if you have a decent connection you can reinstall it via the net connection as long as steam is still present

I feel so bad for you. My parents are VERY strict with violent games, but I am still allowed to play them. I try not to play Doom 3 round them cuz that game is the new definiton of gore, but they don't mind CS: Source, they actually think its cool cuz im playing against ppl from around the world.....
 
Wow...thanks for posting that guys, now they're going to read this and not let me play half life 2....Anyway, they said that it's just the thought that you're killing actual people. But, I made an arguement. I can play the CS source games where it's ct and t's against zombies/aliens. Oh, and ski dude, you don't shoot saw blades at people, just at aliens..
 
Was about to say, we should be saying that CS:S is less violent than HL-2. Not HL-2 is more violent than CS:S.
 
I changed my previous post..... but yes you are right, they are aliens.... at least the heads are...
 
I hav ebeen able to play violet games since i got a computer, when i was 4, although i didn;t undertsand them and pressed random buttons, i had fun.


I think your parents have been listining to Jack Thompson to much, then should find out the Real Story.
 
Watch your language

Hey I am not going to against your parents but there should be a good level of mutual agreement. You should strike a deal of some sort. Given that you are 14, I could see why your parents may be worried. However, more than games, we have movies that anyone can watch... and they don't help either. I would personally allow only a certain amount of time for gaming but not take away games.

my god i remember i was like 5 years old when i played my first video game, and it was resident evil #1 haha i feel sorry 4 u better go back 2 disney land, ill bet u have a bedtime 2 hehe good luck 2 u
 
How about downloading some clever patsches and turning gore off n CS source, im sure it can be done, then perhaps they will let you go on it again.
