None, a DVDR is a read-only DVD meaning once you've burned data on it you cannot write on it again and a RW is a rewritable DVD.

I'd go with Lenovo.

I am hesitant about that one because (don't judge too harshly for this ) it's ugly. I don't like the silver. I could get over that but there are two less than raving reviews.

The ASUS is nice looking but it's massive. Bigger than what I currently have I think.

It comes with Windows 7, which is what my work computer has as well as my old laptop. I am not psyched about Windows 10 but is Windows 7 going to be a problem?

Windows 10 is okay. Once you install a different start menu such as Classic Shell, it gives you a start menu like windows 7. I would actually upgrade to 10 while its free.

If you want a gaming laptop, I would recommend an Intel cpu. The cpu is only a 1.8ghz and I'm thinking would bottleneck the video card.
