Ok. I'm completely and utterly stumped on this one.
I went over to my girls house the other day. I kept turning her computer on and wondering why I kept turning the damn thing on.
Well, after actually turning the monitor on and watching it, it gets tot he screen where windows (7) shows it's little animation and then just...cuts off.
Thought there was something wrong with windows, so I tried safe mode, "last known config", everything. It all just shuts down.
So I continued by trying to reformat it. After loading the OS disk and booting it up, it gets to the "Windows is loading files" and as soon as that's done loading, it shuts off.
So, thinking the HD was shot, I put it into my computer...it booted up. No problems. I then tried something else. I took one of my 3 hard drives, and put it in her computer....it booted up. No problem.
So, I'm completely confused as to why the hard drive is perfectly fine(at least, seems like it in my computer), and yet, doesn't boot, but it starts when mine is in there.
Any ideas?
