Incompatible ram what should I do?

So I built a pc about a year ago and apparently I bought incompatible ram. Money is currently an issue so I need the cheapest solution that is an actual solution. And to help me in the future can someone explain how to figure this out?

So I have an MSI z87-g45 Gaming mobo with G.Skill Ripjaws X Model: F3-12800CL9D-8GBXM.

After realizing I had a problem and it was mobo/ram related. I found the compatibility list for ram on MSI's website. However I don't completely understand it. Here is the link if anyone doesn't feel like navigating MSI's website. http://us.msi.com/support/mb/Z87-G45-GAMING.html#support-mem

Anyways, does this list mean I can choose ANY ram set off this list and it would work flawlessly? If so, what is the size and DIMM columns? Is the size per stick, or max capacity?

As for the solution, I would like to obviously sell my g.skill ram and buy more compatible ram. So according to this list or in general, What ram should I get?

If it is working. Don't bother changing it.

That list simply means MSI kind of guarantee they will work. But it doesn't mean RAM not on the list don't work.

Well the issue I have with that reasoning is when I first assembled the computer I was getting BSODs left and right as soon as the computer need to use more resources. I found a forum post suggesting to manually set the ram speed, voltage, and some other setting if you were using my exact board with my exact ram. Since then I deleted my bookmark so I don't have it for reference. But there are several forum posts out there suggesting there are issues with this particular board and mainly g.skill ram.

The BSODs are non existent as of now, however I have been noticing, that certain programs are using more than normal ram from my old build and others that should be running smoothly are sluggish (even upon checking the recommended requirements of the program, my build is well above that).

You can use any memory within the list, but many other memory also works, the list only show those MSI tested, not mean others not support.
