Insanity!!!!!!!

they have gotten higher, but only on 1 or 2 cores.

i think the achievement of this one was it was @ 6ghz on all 8 cores on the skultrail.
 
lol these lads are xtreme :D i dont think they care if it lasts 20mins.

thats 20mins with the world record under their belts :p
 
HOLY CRAP!! Is that thing refrigerant cooled or liquid nitrogen? Just saw the L2 cache! Now im really jealous!

i was wondering, if you put LN2 in a steel block, but that has been pressurized (add more LN2 and it will change to gas slowly) and sealed (so that the liquid doesnt escape), cant you use that as a heatsink? (prolly not but would make a nice project...)

it will eventually warm up, just like C02 gas in a paintball guns tank. but the second you let it out, its ice cold again
 
Im pretty sure he uses a 3-stage cascade cooler for his projects LN2 is cheaper but less stable

lovely? got it right exactly, very few wrs are set with LN2 unless you count the zero load ones

srry for the double post but:
that is a terrible example of LN2 as the condensation that that guy obliviously thought looked cool would kill his rig as soon as he got back to zero.
