Install of XP-90 heatsink - Before/After pics.

Here are some pics of my new XP-90 install. I put it in the way I did because it is HUGE and was hanging over my RAM and it would have been very hard for me to plug the fan in.

holy crap, that thing is huge! what sort of temps do you get?

PS the first 3 pics in the 2nd post are all the same ;)

I don't know, I just installed it 5 minutes ago.

I just realized the pis... sorry.

Ok, I'm getting an error when I restart my computer now that I have installed the new heatsink. I get a black screen that says:

CPU fan error!

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

have you connected the fan that sits on top of you cpu to the motherboard cpu connector or directly to the psu

Oh and your fan is upside down

The fan is plugged directly into the mothorboard. Why do you say my fan is upside down? It is blowing towards the CPU.

It is blowing towards the CPU.
More of a personal preference, but i like my fan to be sucking from cpu, esspetially on a huge hsf like the XP-90

The fan is plugged directly into the mothorboard.
Does the fan spin up when you power on. Also can you get in to bios

The fan is runnning. I do not know how to get into bios... care to help me?

Still getting the error. I am trying a different fan.

Edit: I don't get the error with a different fan. Could it be that the yellow wire for the sensor is messed up?

XP-90 and XP-90c

I have just installed the XP-90c on my brand new Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz.
The XP-90c is a SOLID copper version of the XP-90!

This thing is massive and it does an GREAT job!

My last temps were 50c with my old cooler and now i have installed my new XP-90c the temps have drop to 40c when gaming!

I have a Panaflow fan on top and it works a treat!
Here are some pics:
