nope, intel is working on 45nm and AMD is working on 65nm(i think)

I wish I had the kind of money to blow on a Quad core. What sucks though, is that it'll be out of date in 3-hours...

its nice to know, but theres really no point in waiting to upgrade.
why wait 3-4 months to get one? if you always wait 3-4 months for the newest thing to come out or go down in price, then you will never have a computer.
because when these quad cores come out in Q3, there will be info about something new and better coming out 3-5 months later, then what? wait again for the same thing to happen?
thus is the pain about computers. no matter when you purchase your stuff, you will know that it will be cheaper in a few months.

Most likely. If their $1000 processor is going to drop half its price in Q3, chances are most of there others will drop also. Probably not THAT drastically, but maybe a little bit.

I also agree. And the best time to buy is actually right when new parts are introduced, like the G80 cards and the Core 2 Duos. When you wait for the prices to drop, then within a month or two better parts will be out. And at least if you bought them when they first came out, you can enjoy the high end parts while they are still considered high end.

okay there are 12 months in a year and four 1/4s in a whole so 12/4 equals 3 so a quarter lasts 3 months to get so if we 3*3 we get 9 some nine months into to year is Q3 solstice lol J,F,M,A,M,J,J,A,S yay september is the ninth month in the year so Q3 starts in september geeze use your common sense

Jan to March is Q1
April to June is Q2
July to September is Q3
October to December is Q4
So, Q3 starts on July, not September
