Is 36A on the +12v rail enough for a 4870?

That is absolutely bs.....Corsair 500W has like 40 amps at least, and 650W has 52.

That is a great unit and would power a 4870 fine Then you can :gun: that cheapo 500W

I've got one these Corsairs. The cables will cut you hands to shreds. The sleeving is so sharp is unbelievable. The cables are also very stiff (xD) and hard to work with.....I still have red raw hands after installing one of these.

The cables are stiff due to the lower guage wire used in quality units.

I know it is a quality PSU but hard to work with, especially in cases with no cable managment, such as Antec 300

Some of the best cable management i did in a three hundred with a 650tx, took a good couple of hours though.
