Is 36A on the +12v rail enough for a 4870?

That is absolutely bs.....Corsair 500W has like 40 amps at least, and 650W has 52.

wow, you couldnt be more wrong. bomberboy knows his shit, i wouldnt doubt what he says. and it insnt bs, it is an offbrand, therefore it has less amps on the +12v

I think he means the 500W off brand power supply is complete bs due to only having an 18a rail.
 
I've got one these Corsairs. The cables will cut you hands to shreds. The sleeving is so sharp is unbelievable. The cables are also very stiff (xD) and hard to work with.....I still have red raw hands after installing one of these.

The cables are stiff due to the lower guage wire used in quality units.
