Is my PSU dying?

I have a "Rosewill RP550-2 ATX 2.01 550W Power Supply" that I bought on "11/29/2006". However it keeps on making this annoying buzzing sound. I thought maybe a cable tie was stuck in there, but that's not the case. I have uploaded a 10 second sound clip of the noise.

Are you sure that's not just a fan? I know you say there's nothing around there, but I seriously doubt a PSU would make those noises and work :P Have you limited it to your PSU? Perhaps even tried another in the system?

I originally thought it was the CPU cooler, so I unplugged it. Then I thought it was the case fan and unplugged that. When I had both the CPU cooler and the case fan unplugged, the PSU is the only one that made that noise.

I sometimes find that these buzzing issues can be corrected by slightly loosening or tightening some of the screws on the PSU fan.

yeah I've eliminated some of these annoyances in the past by taking some
3m double sided tape and outlined the psu whereever it touches metal on metal with the case.
