I just installed speedfan and it says my processor cores are running at 12*C and 18*C. Is it correct? If so, that is pretty darn good.
Is speedfan right?

I really dont like speed fan for temps, try one of these to back it up

I have already tried PC wizard and it doesn't support Vista x64, EasyTune says 23*C
Did you use the one from the Gigabyte or from your cd, the Gigabyte site has the newer one. I have ran it on Vista 64, uninstall the old one first! Never mind I thought you said EasyTune would not work with Vista

PC Wizard works on Vista to but I think they might not have support for your chipset yet (P35)

Oh Okay, I have the newest EasyTune off the drivers CD. If it's true, is 23*C good?
the only thing that dont work right with pc wizard is the bechmark, everything else works fineINTELCRAZY

I noticed when I put it in the middle that only the middle radius of the chip got the paste. So, I put little dots about 2mm away from the edge of the chip and worked my way to the center. My room stays at 72*F....PC Wizard says that Core1 is 18*C and Core2 is 11*C, and it says the processor is 180*C
I don't know what to believe. It says the mainboard is 255*C, lol.

The BIOS also read 23*C....

Yeah use orthos and see, when i run orthos i get about 44*c 100% and 28*c idle.. i didn't know about that cooler when i bought mine
I was going to buy a CNPS9700 until someone told me of this, I gotta get to cleaning my desk off, so I can take some pics for you guys.

As long as your room is colder then 73F, then thats possible. If it's hotter then that, then the readings are wrong.
Unless of course you're using something other then air/liquid cooling.

I've read that core temp is most accurate, i use it, seems good. I wouldn't trust speed fan, add 15 to those temps and you should be around the actual temp.
