Yea that looks quite nice. I would personally upgrad the speed of the hard drive. The core duo processor with the dvd burner will be nice. The 2 batteries will also be useful. and the upgrade to a gig of ram is perfect.

Well i was looking at the 7200RPM, but the 5400RPM would have better batery life, and im not doing anything that requires quick access to the hard drive. But i'll consider that.

And it's an 8x DVD Burner.

the 7200rpm is more of a gamers hdd for if its strictly a gaming laptop. which i don't think that is so then its a toss up, either one is fine for the job.

I guess i'll look into the 7200RPM.

And i compared cpus, the Core Duo 2.0Ghz performs about the same or better than the AMD X2 3800+ in system and gaming tests.

EDIT: Ok, i decided to get the 7200RPM instead, look back at the specs.

You an get AMD X2 in laptops? Or are you just saying that the Core duo is just as good a cpu as the X2 3800+?

Not that i know of, but when i compared the two in several benchmarks, the Core Duo generally outperformed the AMD X2 3800+ in system tests, but it was either about the same or very close behind in the gaming tests.

And why do you say HP?

Me and Geoff ordered about the same laptop last night. I was wondering, is the Core Duo capable of 64 bit processing?
