Is this too crazy???????

ok, its about midnight for me and i had a crazy idea on how to keep my pc cool.put a radiator fan from a car on my case. i see them on ebay for about $35 and they push a whopping 1500 CFM!!!!! i know that i would have to have a separate power source for this, and it would be loud, but i really dont care, anyone think this is too crazy?

Other than the noise... and the fact it might blow loose components off a motherboard, and hinder airflow through any heatsinks from their actual fans... It really would hurt more than help imo.

Then you would basically have a vacuum, where the fans inside the case wouldnt work well and your still faced with the issue of heatsinks. Oh, and of course the noise aswell.

Maybe you should find a less powerful fan if you're just SET on putting in a huge fan on your rig..

That's obscene, you'll get hearing problems if you hang around that fan too long.

Sounds stupid but maybe you could put two on top and bottom angling toward the back? This would reduce the power the air has on the components... I don't know.

Noise is a factor yes but any decent motherboard shouldnt have components on that loose, and stuff like addon cards and RAM are secured in pretty firm

If you put it on say, a dimmer switch like you'd find in Home Depot you can use that as a fan controller to turn the fan up or down, it could work great as an input fan

Can't you set the speed as well, if you put a lower voltage to it, it may still blow faster than a regular case fan but not too powerful.
