Temps High. Looking for heatsink
Had a Phenom X2 II 555. Unlocked the cores to get a Phenom X4 II B55.
Running stock clock speed of 3.2ghz. Want to overclock to around 3.6 later.
Using the stock cpu heatsink and fan, M4A785-M mobo, and 3 cooler master 120mm case fans in a cooler master rc-310.
Individual core temps don't work because of the unlocking, so only way I can check cpu temps are with Asus PC Probe II.
Idle cpu temps: 38-40C
30 minute Prime95 on In-Place large FFT's mode: 62C was high. 60C Average
After 2 days "break in" my idle temps are now around 43C. I'm looking into buying a new heatsink.
Have this one in mind. Any other recommendations?
