Dedicated memory is far better than either of those. However, HyperMem/TurboCache is better than the original shared memory.
I don't know much about the price right off(US over here) But that's a pretty darn good machine. It should play games quite well, if you plan to. If not, Hypermem/TurboCache would do just fine.

Are you referring to the x1400? If so, it has 128MB of dedicated, and uses 128MB of your system RAM. It's a decent card, it can play CSS at medium-high settings.So is a 256MB card with HyperMemory/TurboCache as good as a dedicated 256MB video card, or vice versa?
