They're chipsets. So, basically any motherboard which features any of them in the name, is good (with in reason, obviously there are better brands). For example, the motherboard I linked you to, is;
GA-P35-DS3
If you look in the name, it's a P35 chipset, which are pretty good.
Also, I have the EVGA 750i FTW. Which is a 750i chipset.
Make sense?
well you can get the EVGA 750i and its really good too.
yer i think so
i have found this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148471 looked at the specs on this website http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000396 and for £55 it seems very gd just i have never heard of foxconn i would buy say an gigabyte because i know there a good quality company whats the deal with foxcon though?
thanks
Agreed. The 750i is a great board, a little out of his price range though. It's £140 here in the UK. That's $280!
Well, Foxcon aren't a great brand. I've not dealt with them myself, but I don't see much of them, or hear many good things. With something like a Motherboard, I'd get a decent, well known brand, since it's the main part of a computer. Gigabyte, ASUS, EVGA, XFX, aBit... they're all pretty good.
ok i like that gigabyte u showd me a few days ago most tbh
I'm pretty sure that ATA is IDE, they're just different names for it. Do you have a link to the board?
Heh, don't apologize! That's why we're here.
Well, I think the P35 chipset is newer, so it'd be a better choice. Your call though
See what some more people suggest.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just a different name for it.
