Loosing internet connection

I’m using vista on my xps m1330. Every 30 minutes or so my laptop stops connecting to the internet. The little network symbol near the clock shows I’m still connected. Disconnecting and reconnecting doesn't help. It’s like this in all browsers. My ps3 can still connect with no problem when this is happening. So can the computers with a wired connection. I have to restart every time this happens. I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and it didn’t find anything.

MouseHunt is a facebook game. That is the officall toolbar for it. I had this problem before downlading it.

It could still be an infected file.

You did try running hijack right?

Explain to us what it does. Do you turn on your computer and it connects the five minutes later it disconnects?

Not an expert but if it is still working on your ps3 then it is not your routers problem its your computers configuration maybe you have to disable a certain feature or service there is one called Wireless Zero Configuration i think you need to disable that and it should make it more stable.

Sounds like maybe your router or modem is dropping the connection.

Then wouldn't my ps3 loose connection?

Its a tool bar for IE and FF. MouseHunt is a game where you hunt mice every 15mins. The toolbar has a timer so you know when 15mins is up and links to various areas of the game. It also has a search bar on it.

I Googled Wireless Zero Configuration. Its called WLAN AutoConfig in Vista and I disabled it and I lost all connection. I read that after I disable it I need to use some other wireless utility, but I don't know what to use.

EDIT: I mannaged to uninstall the bad updates and install service pack 2. Still having the problem.

I just remembered I couldn’t install service pack 2. When I tired I got this message. Maybe that has something to do with it.
One or more drivers might be incompatible
The driver listed below might be incompatible with Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Check to see if a solution is available, and then restart the installation after the problem is resolved. (If multiple drivers are causing problems, then you'll be able to view the next problem and check for a solution.)
If the solution requires restarting your computer, please restart the installation after your computer starts.
MSDSM - Please read Microsoft Knowledge Base article: 967752

When I click check for a solution nothing happens.
