ok.. so I juustt got a new motherboard for my computer, I got the ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, i used to have the basic a8n. everythings in, I know all the other parts work fine. when I power up, nothing gets set to the video card / LCD... the moniture stays in standby.. so the card isnt getting any data? should I just RMA it or is there a salution??

good reason why.......do you have any other video cards readily at your disposal, i have a feeling it may be something with the pci express x16 settings and if you can slap another like normal pci vid card in there maybe you can adjust some settings, also have you tried all of the pci express slots?

its not the card it works in my other systom. how do you reset a video card, does radio shack sell buttons for that? (joke)
I know its something with the board.. I think I just need to RMA it.

there are only two pci x16 slots, one is for single card, the other is for if you are running dual cards. I dont think you can use that slot without having two cards.

Try holding down the control key when you boot.

It doesn't matter which slot you use.

OK dude. Do you have a video card that is PCI? Not PCI-E? You can plug the PCI video card into your mobo and go into the bios and see whats wrong.

I beg do differ, when I was "working" (we were there from school in order to see what kind of work they did there for a week) at a computer store nearby there was some problem with a computer not working, they gave me the job of fixing it, those lazy ********. The reason why it didn't boot was because the PCI-E video card was in the secondary PCI-E 16x slot. :P
